The Nitric Oxide Catalyst: Sesame Oil's Proven Benefits for Male Circulation

Sesamin and sesamolin modulate endothelial nitric oxide synthase — the same pathway targeted by pharmaceutical vasodilators, achieved through a food-grade Mediterranean oil.

Erectile function is, before anything else, a vascular event. Without sufficient nitric oxide (NO) signalling, the smooth muscle of the corpus cavernosum cannot relax, and circulation cannot rise to meet demand. Sesame oil — and specifically the lignans sesamin and sesamolin — has been shown in peer-reviewed work to upregulate endothelial NO synthase.

Why we cold-press, never refine

Industrial refining destroys the very lignans we want to preserve. Prima Labo sources sesame from a single cooperative in southern Tunisia and presses below 40°C, retaining the full lignan profile. The result is an oil that behaves less like a cosmetic ingredient and more like a vascular adjuvant.

The Vague delivery system

Sesame oil alone is good. Sesame oil suspended in olive oil and bound by beeswax — the architecture of Vague — is significantly better at sustaining transdermal absorption over a four-to-six hour window.
